The National Procurement Hub is thrilled to be returning to the Emergency Services Show this September!
So much has happened over the past few years that has required significant central procurement support and supplier engagement, and the team are really happy to be able to share their experiences and plans for the future this year in person and to say a personal ‘thank you’ for all the support and encouragement you have given the team during the most difficult of times.
We are more than just procurement…
Look out for the team on the mezzanine floor at the NEC, and also take advantage of our offer to meet on a 1:1 basis to really get the best out of our time at the Show. The team will be very happy to meet anyone interested in our work, from colleagues across the Fire and Rescue Sector and the wider emergency services, suppliers and entrepreneurs – let us take this opportunity to allow our shared learning and expertise to create greater opportunities for an inclusive, sustainable, innovative and cost effective future.

Sarah Walsh & Brett Egan Briers

Sarah joined Kent Fire and Rescue Service in December 2017, following 10 years working within the private sector, as a Port Supply Co-ordinator for Wilhelmsen Ships Service a leading global suppliers of Marine Chemicals, Marine Products and Gases to vessels, processing up to 3,000 orders every year for delivery within the UK and Ireland placed by colleagues around the world.
Brett Egan-Briers is a retired operational fire officer with 35 years’ fire service experience. Brett became responsible for firefighters’ personal protective equipment (PPE) in 2000 and now has over 20 years’ direct experience of firefighting PPE. Brett works for Kent Fire and Rescue Service as National Technical Advisor for PPE, working specifically on National procurement projects for the Procurement Hub.
Mandy Beasley

Working with Phil as the Category Lead for Operational Equipment is Mandy Beasley who is currently the Head of Procurement at West Midlands Fire and Rescue Service. Mandy has been with the Fire Service since 2009 and her background is exclusively from within the Public Sector with over 30 years’ experience in Public Sector Procurement.
Elli Nikolaou

Elli has an extensive public sector experience in a procurement capacity which spans over a period of sixteen years across various local government bodies and, as part of the her latest three year position, Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service where she held overall responsibility for the procurement function.
Tracey Stradling
Professional Services Enquiries
Tracey started her career with the Health Service in Cheshire before moving to Cambridgeshire where she took up the post of Head of Administration. In 2003 she became Head of Procurement and subsequently following a restructure took on the Business Support function with Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service.
Luke Malton

Luke Malton joined Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service (DSFRS) in January 2009. This was Luke’s first role in the public sector and prior to this Luke worked for Npower and Accenture. During Luke’s time working within fire he has had various secondments
